COSRIP Magazine, an imprint of Eleve Fashion Magazine, is dedicated to exploring and celebrating the intersection of cosplay and high fashion. But this raises the question: What is cosplay high fashion?

At its core, cosplay high fashion recognizes the extraordinary craftsmanship, innovation, and artistry demonstrated by elite cosplayers and designers—skills that rival those of the most renowned high-fashion creators. Yet, the mainstream fashion industry often dismisses cosplay as mere "costuming," overshadowed by stereotypes of competitions or casual fandom. The problem lies in presentation, not talent.

The goal of COSRIP is to bridge the gap between high fashion and cosplay by providing cosplay models and designers with a platform that offers the respect and presentation they deserve. We’re here to secure cosplay's rightful place at the high-fashion table, showcasing it as an art form and a viable career path.

Through our efforts, we aim to:

Inspire cosplay models, designers, and makeup artists (MUAs) to turn their hobbies into thriving careers.

At Cosrip, we believe that cosplayers and cosplay designers possess all the talent and skill needed to be recognized as high-fashion creators. The craftsmanship, creativity, and technical expertise are already there. So, what’s missing?

Cosrip’s Cosplay Power Shoots are premium photoshoot experiences where cosplay meets editorial fashion photography, designed to highlight the artistry and craftsmanship of cosplayers through breathtaking imagery worthy of magazine covers.

We understand that cosplayers often face budget constraints when it comes to consistently shooting their new creations. That’s why we offer these shoots for one low fee, allowing cosplayers to work with several professional photographers in a single session. Participants will receive high-quality photos from each photographer to use as they wish, whether for portfolios, social media, or personal keepsakes.

Beyond the incredible photos, these events provide a fantastic networking opportunity. Cosplayers can connect with talented photographers, collaborate with other cosplayers for group shots, and build friendships within the community—all while creating stunning content to showcase their craft.

Cosrip’s Cosplay Walk Off takes the traditional cosplay contest to the next level, transforming it into a runway spectacle where participants showcase their creativity, confidence, and style.

This event is more than just competition—it's an opportunity for cosplayers to gain experience walking the runway, build confidence, and practice for our high-fashion shows. It also helps casual cosplayers get comfortable with seeing and participating in cosplay on the runway.

The Cosplay Walk Off also aims to establish cosplay as a serious art form within the fashion world, setting a new standard for how it’s presented and perceived. By combining the artistry of cosplay with the flair of a fashion show, we help redefine the norm, elevating cosplay to high-fashion status.

Participants are judged not only on the quality and creativity of their cosplay but also on their walk, presence, and ability to own the runway like a true model. This unique format encourages cosplayers to bring their characters to life through movement and performance, refining their stage presence and taking their cosplay to a professional level.

Cosplay high fashion shows

Blurring the lines between cosplay and haute couture, our fashion shows feature cosplayers and designers presenting their work in a way that rivals any high-fashion runway, bringing cosplay to a global stage.

We typically showcase three distinct styles:

Cos-Couture: Handcrafted designs inspired by anime and pop culture characters from across all media platforms. These garments are artistic interpretations that blend fashion and fandom in a couture-like fashion.
High-End Cosplay: Cosplays made from scratch or using a combination of fabrics, props, and 3D printing, typically staying true to the original character designs. These pieces push the boundaries of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Otaku Streetwear: Streetwear designed by hand or manufactured from original designs based on popular characters. These styles bring cosplay aesthetics into everyday fashion, blending fandom with urban trends.

Each of these categories helps to elevate cosplay beyond the realm of costume-making, positioning it as a respected and innovative art form in the fashion world.
