Crystal Fractalz is a name derived from my commitment to emphasizing and hyperbolizing the various aspects of my character and the pieces of the everchanging kailedoscope that formulate my worldview and make me who I am. It’s a reminder to myself to create my own sense of order in this chaotic world and embrace my beauty. It’s also a reminder to all others that dispite a turbulent reality we must stay grounded in our being and appreciate the struggles, the blockages, the faults, all that in which brings us together as one people. In the same way a snowflake forms by individual ice crystals joining together and taking shape, by the recognization and commitment to our individuality, we grow as a whole. It’s ironic how the strive towards self-care connects us together. Even though we dress differently from one another, our individual tastes form the collective that is self-expression. Through the development of self and embracing the independent interests that represent your person, you are shifting the kalideoscope of fashion towards a picture that truly represents us. Not what we are supposed to look like, but who we choose to be. That’s what fashion is all about: Fashion is simply a visual representation of the collective approach we choose in the rules we make for what’s beautiful. It’s the media we choose to push, the hairstyles we choose to wear, and the walks we choose to walk that has a bigger affect than anything else on what you see on the runway.
